The Team

Daniel Mendoza OBE

Founder & Director

[email protected]

Daniel heads up the investment agency team and his success reflects his family heritage as a third-generation surveyor – following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather.

Go back to the late 1700’s and you’ll find the bloodline of his direct descendant Daniel Mendoza the Champion English boxer and prize-fighter. It explains the grit Daniel showed when he co-founded Ereira Mendoza at just 21 years old. It’s the source of his natural tenacity and the inspiration for his cool headedness, clarity of mind and balanced approach, only taking the gloves off when needs be!

He’s known for his ability to create and forge trusting relationships regardless of the duration of the engagement – this facilitates tremendous reach and credibility across the market. He has a desire and the gift of getting under the skin of what the client is really seeking to achieve and uses his four decades of market relationships and knowledge to collaborate in supporting his clients goals and making deals happen.

He believes deals come and go but relationships don’t, and the market is fundamentally relationship driven. To this end he prides himself on his EQ and the role that plays in negotiations and getting deals done. His regular columns for Property Week and more latterly Green Street News have been required reading for their candid insight and industry analysis for more than two decades.

Psycho

I have what’s probably an unhealthy obsession with psychology and an innate desire to know what drives my own, and others attitudes and behaviours. To what extent is the way we experience the world and the way the world experience us a product of our environment and experiences vs. our DNA and inherent character – and to what extent is change possible. So, I’m a sucker for self-help books / courses / podcasts as the journey of self-awareness, self-reflection and opportunity to evolve is never ending – especially in my case!

LBC & Goggleboxing

LBC the national talk radio sucks me in – getting to hear a diverse range of views from a broad strata of society on the latest news can be an enlightening way of either entrenching or changing ones view. I’m not a huge TV fan but love a bit of Gogglebox – a snapshot of people across the economic and racial / religious spectrums watching a full range of TV’s offerings from the News to the trashiest reality shows. Regardless of one’s own interests and sense of humour, what strikes me despite our “surface” differences, are our shared commonalities.
Notwithstanding my family lineage of a champion English boxer, you’ll find me on the terraces at the Amex Stadium enjoying the highs and lows of the UK’s best run football club.

“I wanna tell you a story”

There is no single person that inspires me or that I aspire to. I love to hear people’s stories – where they came from and what happened to them along the way. It’s within the myriads of those stories that I find inspiration, aspiration, humility and gratitude. However, one quote and one poem that encapsulate what I admire. Theodore Roosevelt’s “The Man in The Arena” and Oriah Mountain Dreamer’s “The Invitation”.
